May Your Christmas Be Cozy Warm & Bright

Altered Ipad Cover

Full Cover

December is fast approaching! and before we know it, Christmas will be here! With that in mind, I went to town with altering this old iPad cover that I had stowed in my stash of alterables that I've been hoarding :) This cover was altered to hold wish cards for this Christmas and New Year. It can also be used to store advise cards or even to just store away the pretty things you will receive this festive season.

Here's my altered cover and a guide on how I made it look the way it does.

I started my project by applying Gesso all over the cover. Leave it to dry and then using two different stencils, apply two layers of Gesso again (after each dried layer). After the Gesso is all dried up, colour the centre with Gelatos® & Art GRIP® Aquarelle Red

 Glaze with glitter

At random areas, using a pippet, I applied Glaze and quickly sprinkled glitter onto the little splotches to create texture.

To achieve the desired layering effect, I used Gel Medium for the flowers and to adhere the sequins to the cover.

Lace coloured with gelatos

I also added some lace (which was coloured with Gelatos®) along the edge
