Blooming with Inspiration
Hi, crafty friends! It's Jill here with a little inspiration! One of my favorite products to work on are small wooden home decor pieces purchased from my local craft store. Today's project uses a wooden flower and the wooden word "inspire."
For added texture on the flower, I first stamped a Penny Black background (Roman Surround) with VersaMark ink embossed with white embossing powder. I colored on top using Gelatos (Guava, Watermelon, Raspberry, Red Cherry) and blended with my fingertip. I allowed most of the Gelato color to stay on top of the embossed areas, so the design remained subtle.
The wooden word "Inspire" as well as the dragonfly die cuts (Penny Black Flutters) were colored with Stampers Big Brush Pens in the colors of Dark Chrome Yellow and Scarlet Red. To finish things off, I swiped just a bit of Gesso onto the leaves and flower.
