Gelatos on Velvet Paper
Hello! Dana Tatar here today sharing another project as a Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Guest Designer. I colored a velvet floral print paper with Gelatos® for this card. The Gelatos color really helped to bring new life to a monochromatic paper that I have had in my stash for years and struggled to use.
I used the new 50's Diner and Tropical Designer Gelatos® to apply color directly to the raised velvet print. The texture of the velvet helped the Gelatos® go on smoothly and to blend beautifully.
I stamped a sentiment onto a piece of die-cut cardstock using a Warm Grey IV Stamper's Big Brush Pen.
I applied Watermelon and Banana Gelatos® onto my craft mat, spritzed with water, blended with my finger and then dipped the cardstock with my stamped sentiment face-down into the color.
I assembled my card, added embellishments, and then as a finishing touch, highlighted my sentiment spot with a Stamper's Big White Pen.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to try using Gelatos on specialty papers. If you'd like to see more of my work, please stop by my blog, They Call Me Tatar Salad.
