Hey bloggers Rita Barakat
here and today I am sharing a layout with some
fun techniques to try ! (sketch from Susan at Sketch Savvy!)
First grab your stencil, PITT Big Stampers Brush and some
sponges and make your faux wood background. I started with burlap
looking paper (all the papers are from DCWV)
- the pattern added more "texture" to the piece. I mark the sponge with the Stamper’s Big Brush Pen and quickly spread the ink.
Stick your acrylic (Clear Scraps) title and banners through your embossing folder- any will do. Add Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® gesso randomly and allow to dry completely.
Use Gold and Chocolate Gelatos® to scribble across the top of your title,
rub it in with a sponge or your finger.
You get this cool metallic look...
Choose Silver, Squid Ink and Black Gelatos® to do the same for the banner pieces.
Get a Viva pearl pen to add some shine on top ( I used my finger.)
Then added some on the sides of the title.
I really liked how it came out - looks even better in real life!
Metallic colors are hot right now, so I hope you will give this a try!
