Flower card using PITT® Pastel Pencils
Hi AJ back again to share another card using the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® PITT® Pastel pencils.
I just love coloring with the PITT® Pastel Pencils- they make coloring so easy for someone who's a bit challenged in that arena! I have used Hero Arts Flower Text stamp here for my card, and several colors of the PITT® Pastel Pencils.
I have stamped my background using VersaFine™ in Onyx Black and have several colors out to choose from. I scribble each color down to see how it looks on paper before choosing.
I know I want all the leaves green, so I start with those, and get them all colored in.
I decide on staying with the pink/orange/yellow for my main flower colors. For now I am just coloring each one in one by one, trying not to smudge the already colored areas wih my hand.
After coloring in the two larger flowers, I add a bit of the dark pink to the flower on the left, and will color in the the remaining flowers with orange and yellow.
Here's the whole piece finished- You can leave like this, and work into your project if you choose. But I am going for a certain effect on my card today-
Starting with the first flower I colored, I lightly smear around the pastel with my finger, sweeping outward away from the image, creating a hlao effect around the flower.
To finish my card off, I lightly seal it with some cheap hair spray, and then go over it again (once it dries) with more pencil to darken a few areas up.
thanks for stopping by!!
