Color Your World with Gelatos.

DSC_4659

Hello everyone ,

Swarup here , with my last post as Faber Castell  Design Memory Craft Guest Designer. That feels so strange to write, because it feels like  just yesterday that I started my term here and it's already 4 months! But as they say all good things must come to an end!

Back in January I posted a card as my first project which had a quote."Too much of a good thing can be wonderful". I had chosen that quote , cause that's exactly what I had thought of my term here. I would have been happy  with an opportunity to share  just one little project, instead I was blessed with 7 and I truly enjoyed every little bit of it. So as a parting note, I decided to go with yet another card using the same image stamp as in my first and with a quote that describes my feeling today..."You color my world"....

.....yes ..Faber Castell Design Memory Craft has filled my world with color...

....and I don't think I can do without Gelatos!

If you have been  following my posts on this blog then the techniques used will not be new to you, yet I shall share some stepped out pictures with you all.....

Scribble Gealtos and spray water until it drips

Stamp sentiment using Stampers Big Brush Pen . I used a grey Gelato to color in the image. I think it is perfect to achieve that sketchy watercolor look.

I stamped the umbrella on a piece of acrylic and cut it out and added Glossy accents for the boots.

If you are wondering where I got the green from , I mixed blue and yellow. Here is a sample of how well these mix and blend.

So there we go , I hope you liked it, I sure had lots of fun sharing all these projects with you all.

Swarup M. I am a self taught watercolorist and a  trained textile designer . Over  the last 20 years I have  learned how to blend them both and bring that into my Papercrafting. I have been scrapbooking and card making for more than a  decade now and immensely enjoy creating these mini masterpieces as I like to call them. I consider every card I create to be  a miniature piece of art and  usually favor a clean and simple style in my card making..and  enjoy a bolder look in  my  Art journals. I enjoy photography and love to travel.

I  blog  as Sanketi and love sharing my work with others. I  have been published in Designed to color magazine , Simply Handmade and Cards Magazines.

This is so adorable Swarup! I have recently been introduced to Gelatos during a recent hop with Faber-Castell and I am so hooked! I had to go out and buy all the colors I could find and I have been using them a ton! I just love them :) I have not tried this technique of making them run down the page, but I definitely will be trying it! Thanks for sharing your creative genius :)

Crafting Marfa

You have created a beautiful card! The colors are simply lovely. You should be proud of yourself.
