12 Days of Christmas Inspirations, Day 10: A Merry Christmas Card
It’s never too early to start making Christmas cards because as we all know, as soon as Halloween is over the Christmas rush and stress sets in and we all get behind… so here is a little Christmas grunge inspiration card for you.
Enjoy!
1. Cut your cardstock so that it is a card measuring 5x5 and Gesso the front of the card.
2. Once Gesso is dry, take three sponges and your Stamper’s Big Brush Pens ( Raw Umber, Walnut Brown and Dark Sepia). Start with your darkest color first as shown in the photo and rub the marker on your craft mat, then with the sponge pick up a little of the ink and start blending onto your paper. Repeat process with the three colors
3.To blend all the colors together take some Vintage Photo distress ink and blend together with a blending tool.
4. Using the Kaisercraft “Sheet Music” Stamp and the black Stamper’s Big Brush Pen apply stamp onto page until it is covered.
5. On a blank sheet of white paper stamp the bells from the Stamper’s Anonymous “Christmas Memories” using the black Stamper’s big brush pen.
6. Using Pitt Pastels # 1122-193, #1122-106, #1121-280, #1121-226 and Art Grip Aquarelle #168 start coloring in the bell as shown in video at the end of this post. Using a small brush and a little water, start blending colors together.
7. Rip a small piece of the Tim Holtz Tissue paper and spray with a little water. Apply Red Cherry Gelato and blend with brush of finger. Repeat step with a paper doily.
8. Assemble card as shown in photo and video tutorial.
