DIY Wedding Invitations with Art Grip Aquarelles!
Hi there! It's Tiffany here to share a fun DIY Wedding Invitation Tutorial! If you're a crafter like me, I'm certain you've been asked once or twice to make invitations for your friends and family! Well, here's a fun way to incorporate the hottest trend, watercolor! We will be using the Art Grip Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils in the blues and greens.
To begin:
I used the following fonts: Carpe Diem, Learning Curve, & Print Clearly. I printed these 4×6 invitations on Strathmore watercolor paper, cold press. Then I used my Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Blue/Green Art Grip Aquarelle watercolor pencils to fill in the letters in an hombre pattern. Then, I framed the sides with color as well!
Taking a waterbrush or paintbrush, begin to blend the pigment from the pencils. The color is permanent once it’s dry, so work quickly! I love the little mistakes as they add to the watercolor effect of the invitation!
Repeat the process with your save the dates (3″ x 2″) and adhere them to some sticky-back magnetic sheets! Of course, don’t forget to add little strips of your favorite washi tapes for an added artsy feel ![]()
Thanks so much for reading along!
